The Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission is an organization dedicated in providing several art programs for the city. Some of the programs include Art in Public Places, Arts Education, Grants and Cultural Programs, Poet Laureate Program, Arts Stabilization Programs and Other Resources. One of the main programs that occur every second Saturday of each month is the Sacramento Second Saturday Art Walk in which local art galleries stay open into the late evenings in order to create a unique viewing and environment of original art.
