Santa Monica is located the western section of the Los Angeles County. Due to the agreeable weather in Santa Monica, the city has become a great resort area. The city is well recognized for its several skateboarding and surfing communities. According to the 2006 census, the estimated population was of 88, 050.

Winters are actually not bad at all in Santa Monica since the average temperature in January is of 63 degrees. During mid December temperature can rise to mid 80’s and be combined with dry winds.

A must see attraction in Santa Monica would have to be the Santa Monica Pier. The pier is a great Pacific Park that is filled with amusement fun and action. The park includes a large Ferris wheel, a carousel, an aquarium, shops, an arcade, restaurants, and occasional live entertainment. The end of the peer is also a popular location for anglers.

Another great attraction in Santa Monica would be the Santa Monica Museum of Art. The art museum has several exhibitions, educational activities, and outreach programs available. The museum fosters diversity and innovation. The museum specializes in contemporary art that is local, national, or international.
